Corwen FC used a local primary school pitch for their training
sessions, but when vandals damaged the goalposts it meant the team
no longer had a place to train.
So Huw Jones got in touch with Sport Wales and through a small
grant they purchased moveable goals allowing them to train on the
local rugby club's pitch.
The club has gone from strength to strength with over 60
youngsters playing football every week. Five members of the
community have also completed their coaching qualifications and
another four are on the waiting list.
