Biography

Beverly competed and won discus silver at the IPC World Athletics Championships in Christchurch, New Zealand in 2011. She recently took silver in the Shot in the European Championships in Holland.

As one of the most experienced Paralympians in athletics, she has been a consistent medal taker over the last five years and will certainly relish the challenge in London - especially with the home support.

Beverly is a prolific shot-putter and discus competitor; she proved her power and explosive prowess in Holland recently, taking a medal in each of her disciplines.

She has previously combined sprinting with shot successfully; winning T37 100m and F37 shot golds on successive days at the 2005 European Championships.

Beverly then went on to collect a bronze medal for Wales in the 100m EAD at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne before concentrated more on throwing.

She won ParalympicsGB's first gold at the 2006 World Champs with a World Record, at the time, of 10.57m in the F37 shot.
