Senior Sports Psychologist at Sport Wales, Louise Jones works
with Wales' elite athletes, coaches and Performance Directors to
ensure that athletes are mentally prepared to perform at their
best.
Working with athletes from the world of cycling, judo,
weightlifting, disability sport, boxing, triathlon and shooting,
Louise has been a Sports Psychologist for ten years after
developing an interest in how the brain can impact on sports
performances.
With a degree in Psychology and Sport Science from Birmingham
University, Louise went on to achieve a Masters in Applied Sport
Psychology at Ottawa University and has since become accredited
through BASES and the BPS and has more recently become a member of
the HPC.
Formerly an employee at the English Institute of Sport, Louise
has been part of the Sport Wales Institute for the past two years
and helps athletes aiming for success at major events, such as the
Commonwealth Games, Paralympics and Olympics to create the best
opportunity for successful performance.
