Accreditation for Wrexham football clubs
The Wrexham and District Junior Football League has become the
first this season to receive full FAW/McDonald's Club Accreditation
in Wales.
The FAW/McDonald's Club Accreditation scheme helps clubs
increase regular participation for boys and girls by delivering a
quality assured football programme. The scheme has four
accreditation levels beginning with the standard award which is
mandatory for all clubs playing junior football. This is followed
by bronze, silver and gold levels.
With 161 Junior League Teams involved within 29 Junior Clubs in
the Wrexham and District Junior Football League it is a programme
that offers all Players, Coaches and Parents support through a
variety of pathways. All of whom have been working hard over the
previous 12-months to help maintain their previous Accreditation
Levels.
All 29 Clubs attained the minimum Standard Accreditation
Criteria, with Brickfield Rangers, Buckley Town, Coedpoeth United,
Llay United and Marford and Gresford receiving a Silver
Accreditation Level. Llay United and Brickfield Rangers are now
working hard towards attaining their Gold Accreditation for the
start of next season.
Another positive within the programme has been through Johnstown
Football Club who, after 12-months of hard work within their local
area, have moved the club forward from a Standard Accreditation
Club to a Bronze Accredited Club this season.
Football Development Officer Mark Roberts said: ''The Club
Accreditation programme is the key programme in which we drive a
national strategy forward, and the Clubs commitment to achieving
this in Wrexham has been fully recognized nationally through Club
Development and Regional Co-ordinator Jay Probert.
"It is a privilege to follow in Anglesey's footsteps from last
season and become the First fully Accredited league within Wales
and I have to thank all the Junior League Clubs, for their
Hard-work and dedication over the previous 6 -
12 months''
